WELCOME Liam!.. to the Kids 4 Life Funding Initiative

Pink Phoenix Cancer Foundation has recently celebrated the first year of "Kids 4 Life" and we are proud to say that Liam will be the 6th child to benefit from this funding program since inception.
Liam is 2 years old and when a tumor was discovered growing from the kidney... Liam was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, which is cancer of the adenal gland and nerve tissue.
Liam had intensive chemotherapy for 6 months... every 10 days and managed the chemo like a true Champion, braving it through when a port got lost on its insertion and Liam had to have it surgically retrieved the next day and a new one inserted! His Mom, Chalaine calls him a "TOUGHIE".
On the 30th June 2015, he underwent major surgery and cut across his abdomen to remove his adrenal gland and to check If any other organs were involved... A 3 hour operation.
Liam has had a months break at home and was admitted into Capital Haematology Hospital today to start the long process of his stem cell transplant.
We will be keep you informed as to Liam's progress with regular posts so we can all learn about the process of a stem cell transplant and how a little 2 year old boy will be showing us how to face adversity "Head On".
